So I suppose I should fill you in with a bit about the story… Ghost hasn’t had an easy time, that’s a bit of an understatement but I’ll leave you to find out about that yourself. Your heart will leap and be crushed from one page to the next! I have warned you.

You are shouting at him in your head (or out loud if that’s your thing) you’re waiting for everything to come crashing down. How he makes the wrong choices and the consequences that they bring. Throughout the book we see the part of Ghost’s journey. When you finish it, you know that you’re holding something special in your hands. I’d imagine that this will help with its popularity! The first chapter is a masterpiece, setting out Ghost’s background and it leaves you breathless. There is so much more to this, which is odd considering it’s just over 200 pages long. Why did I love it? Well it’s not your usual rags to riches story, boy finds someone to help him -> changes for good -> success.

I wanted to run down to the book shop buy 180 copies and give them to all the Year 5s and 6s at my school… But unfortunately that isn’t a viable option on a teacher’s salary… I have no idea what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this! A phenomenal read. Ghost had piqued my interest when perusing in my local bookshop… ‘You have enough books, don’t buy it’ I managed to hold out until a third visit to the shop and then it quickly jumped up my to be read pile… I’m not an avid runner and sports books aren’t usually my thing, but I am a fan of what ‘Knights of’ are trying to achieve in publishing so I think it was their name that drew me to the book. Sometimes you’re not sure why you pick up a book, but you’re bloody glad that you did!
